Fam of lamps. I must have started these over a year ago. def a production. i have 10 total. ranging in size from a MICRO that stands about 6 inch to a floor lamp that is over 6ft tall. almost all salvaged materials. some hardware store materials. some hand crafted ceramic. I have even started to craft light bells in cad that i plan to have 3d printed…. whew.at some point in the Fall of 12 i got this idea to switch some of the tech to LED. which introduced a learning curve. low voltage lighting, transformers ect. i discover MR16 sockets, and bulbs , fell in love with the light quality & basically wouldn’t settle on delivering all incandescent lighting. the main, struggle for me creatively has been managing the sculptural evolution of each piece. all while maintaining a simple, beautiful, high end, yet rustic aesthetic. Learning to machine pieces of wood, with the tools i have. then basically having no heat in the wood shop thru the winter. but spring has sprung, opening the doors to the shop, trying to commit to having these done by summer. at some point. i promise…. It was the little things that hurt a lot. I think I saw a rat. But not here. It must have been a rabbit. Then in my dream there were hundreds of them. Of all varying degrees of health and color. Some healthy some sick. Some fat and hairy some skinny. I picked up an ugly balding one. And said it reminded me of jef. The compassion for the looser, the underdog. The same current of sympathy that causes me to act In a way that distracts me from myself. Damn Rand. Stay out of my dreams.

Dreamt of rabbits. Lots of rabbits.

Creativity is a form of fertility, a time when the mind is ripe with new ideas or open to the reception and nurturing of intuitive impulses and promptings from the soul. It can also symbolize prosperity, thus the dream rabbit can also be associated with luck and wealth.
